Charities
Star Trek was about people helping other people in need.....The USS Enterprise missions often included everything from transporting supplies and medicine to Federation colonies, evacuating people from a dying planet, deflecting asteroids and comets to prevent them from destroying planets and civilizations, and the list goes on.
While we have not yet reached having the capability to save entire worlds from devastation, we can do much to help people in need on this Planet Earth. Our local Star Trek clubs do just that. While they do have fun dressing up in Star Trek garb and attending conventions, the members are also heavily involved with community service and charity fundraising. There will be several clubs in attendance at Star Trek Day. Please stop by their booths and check out what they are doing to aid people in Central Ohio a and beyond.
